Tom Phan, Professional Services Engineer Team Lead
Tom Phan works on our Professional Services Team as Engineer & Team Lead. Tom’s always been into tech. So, when it was time for college, Tom studied Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton, later transferring to Mt. San Antonio College to study Networking and really dig his hands into the world of IT.
After school, Tom held a few in-house IT roles where he was basically The IT Guy. After learning about MSP’s, Tom’s love of learning and working with new technology lead us to our Service Desk. From there, Tom worked his way up, and now he’s rolling out projects and working escalations to bring trickier tickets to resolution.
Tom says the best part about NUMA is the culture and the people. He says, “everyone knows and cares about each other. It feels like a family.”

Tom is a Southern California native, a major foodie, an avid bowler (“casually, though”, he coolly says), and a lover of pop and punk music. In his down time, you can catch him down at Ashing Lanes, working on his Miata, or crushing it on the mic at karaoke night. (His signature song: Last Christmas.)
Whether he’s knocking some sense into some pins or knocking a projects out of the park for our clients, Tom is as sharp as they come and the type of guy that gets things done, but keeps it light with a healthy dose of humor and sarcasm, too.
